Winter Solstice Celebration

Join the Tribe for this Gathering on the longest night of the year, the Winter Solstice!! The Sun takes a step back, and the days get darker and colder. As winter unfolds, Nature quiets down, inviting us to connect more deeply within and rest, rest, rest. Although this time asks us to retreat, it’s still nice to meet up with the Tribe once in a while. Together we welcome the cozy vibes of this Winter Season and celebrate the transition together. We share Raw Cacao, Soulful Food and invite each other for a little jamsession around the Altar. Let’s go!

What’s it about

The transitions of seasons are celebrated in many ancient traditions. It’s an opportunity to release the old and welcome the new, as the Winter Solstice marks the official start of winter. The sun reaches its lowest peak, inviting us to slow down and turn inward. As the nights grow long, we find strength and connection in the warmth of our community. Let’s honor the natural cycle, share our music and stories, and embrace the transformative energy of this sacred time.

This Solstice, as it’s on Saturday, we will go for a Nature Walk to bring an offering* to Mother Earth. An opportunity to give thanks to Mother Nature, as we receive so much from her and sometimes treat her as garbage. At a beautiful tree in the forrest we will give the Earth flowers, herbs, chocolat, fruits, and maybe we can treat her with a few Medicine Songs. We will start the walk at 14pm and return to Avalon at 17pm.

*If you’re not feeling this offering, you just show up at 17pm for the Potluck.
